Ingoldmells, Addlethorpe And Mottram’s Green Joint Cemetery Management Committee

Minutes Of The Joint Committee Held In The Council Chamber, Ingoldmells On Monday 20 October 2018

 

Present: Councillors M A Holyer (Chairman), L Hemingway, N Towers and K Bird

3 To Confirm The Minutes Of The Meeting Held On 23 July 2018 And To Consider Any Actions Arising From The Minutes

Cllr L Hemingway proposed that the minutes be confirmed. Seconded by Cllr M Holyer – Resolved

Matters arising:

It was agreed that the Cemetery Rules which are clearly displayed at the entrance to the Cemetery are to be strictly adhered to and enforced by the Committee.

It was agreed that a day is too be arranged during week-commencing 29 October 2018 for Members of the Committee to meet at the cemetery to undertake a general cleanup of graves which are unattended.

 

4 To Receive An Update On 2018/19 Income And Expenditure

The Clerk gave an update on the financial position of the Cemetery accounts as at 11October 2018. Cllr L Hemingway proposed that the Income and Expenditure schedule presented be confirmed. Cllr K Bird seconded the proposition - Resolved Unanimously

 

5 To Consider Future Cemetery Charges

It was proposed by Cllr K Bird and seconded by Cllr L Hemingway that all Cemetery charges should be increased by £15 with effect from the 1 April 2019, this being the first increase since 2016. It was also agreed that each year charges should be increased with the rate of inflation – Resolved Unanimously.

 

6 To Discuss The Trustee Account Of The Late Miss Merrill In Relation To Her Last Will And Testament

It was agreed that no changes should be made to the charity account and the money accumulated to be used in accordance with her last will and testament for the maintenance of the Memorial Stone if required.

 

7 To Discuss Maintenance/Development Works Required

• To instruct the Cemetery contractor to remove all low branches of trees within the site once the leaves have fallen

• To tidy up and re-stain the casing of the water station and replace the watering can

 

8 To Discuss Any Health And Safety Issues

• wet fallen leaves on cemetery footpath

 

9 To Transact Any Other Business

• Cllr K Bird requested a contact list of Cemetery Members

• Cllr K Bird requested his meeting papers be emailed rather than posted

 

10 To Agree A Date For Next Meeting
