Minutes of the Finance Committee Meeting held on Monday 21 October 2019

Item 1 - Apologies: Cllr J Sargent
The Chairman Cllr B Vincent welcomed Councillor Brian Bellis to the Council
Item 2 - Conflicts of Interest: None declared
Item 3 – To receive the quarterly update on income and expenditure – July to September 2019 (second quarter) – Discussion took place with regards to the situation with the Council’s car park machines and the benefits of card machines along with automatic number plate recognition.- The update was duly noted and no other matters or concerns were raised
Item 4 – To transact any other Finance business
None
Item 5 – To consider financial planning and budgeting for 2019/20
Members agreed to give thought to project/development planning and set aside costs for the 2020/21 financial year and to hold further discussions at the November 2019 Council Meeting. Items discussed:
• Refurbishment of the village signs
• Mini Meadows
• Maintenance & upkeep of the flower tubs and rail baskets
• Maintenance of the bus stops
Item 6 – To confirm the date for the next Investment Portfolio Meeting
The meeting will take place on Tuesday 7th April 2020 at 10am in the Civic Room, Council Offices
Item 7 – To confirm a date for the next meeting of the Finance Committee
The meeting will take place on Monday 20th January 2020 at 7pm.
The meeting closed at 7.55pm.
