MINUTES OF THE INGOLDMELLS PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD ON MONDAY 8TH JULY 2024, 7.15PM, AT THE COUNCIL OFFICES, SKEGNESS ROAD, INGOLDMELLS, PE25 1NL

  PRESENT: Cllrs, Bill Vincent (Chair), Stuart Chambers, Rob Stevens, Len Hemingway,

Apologies were received from Cllr Oldbury due to work commitments. It was unanimously resolved that the apologies be accepted

It was proposed by Cllr Hemingway, seconded by Cllr Chambers and resolved with 6 votes for, and 3 abstentions to confirm the minutes of the meeting held on Monday 10th June 2024 as a true record
It was proposed by Cllr Chambers, seconded by Cllr Holyer and resolved with 7 votes for, and 2 abstentions to confirm the minutes of the Extraordinary meeting held on Monday 24th June 2024 as a true record

DEPUTATIONS FROM MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC
Mrs. Oakley asked for Council’s consideration and permission regarding the erection of lamp post poppies to mark Remembrance Day 2024

REPORTS FROM ELECTED MEMBERS OF LINCOLNSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL AND  EAST LINDSEY DISTRICT COUNCIL 
Cllr Davie gave a verbal update on:
Following the General Election, Cllr Davie is looking forward to working with Richard Tice, the new MP for Boston and Skegness
Monday 15th July 24 is the closing date for the consultation for cable routes, and as the new Government are proposing to relax planning rules, there will be an uphill struggle, and LCC are not supporting this ruling
Sea defenses, following two severe storms last year that cost the Environment Agency £50million, there is now a shortfall, and Government will need to ensure more money is given to the Environment Agency
Tourism is suffering financially this year, and it is hoped money will be found for Lincolnshire to stop some businesses collapsing at the end of the year
The bollards are now installed on Sea Lane
Cllr Davie will contact Richard Fenwick to arrange another village ‘walkabout’

It was proposed by Cllr Stevens, seconded by Cllr Holyer and unanimously resolved:
To authorise payments for expenditure 
To receive a budget report showing expenditure for the year to date
To receive and note Bank Reconciliation for June 2024

BUS STOP ADVERTISING 
It was proposed by Cllr Stevens, seconded by Cllr Vincent and unanimously resolved that Council agree in principle to bus shelter advertising, with a £100 fee

At 7.37pm, Cllr Davie arrived at the meeting and left at 8.05pm. This item of business was conducted under item 128/24

It was proposed by Cllr Stevens, seconded by Cllr Chambers and unanimously resolved to approve and adopt the Financial Regulations
